Lessons from 100 Years of Leadership

Mary Ellen is Kreischer Miller’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Mary Ellen has over 30 years of professional experience providing strategic human resources leadership to a variety of businesses, including professional services organizations, software development, clinical laboratory, retail, and legal services organizations. She is regarded as an expert in the areas of leadership, talent acquisition, employee relations, talent development, talent retention, change management, and company culture enhancement.

Mary Ellen is an advocate for communication access for the deaf and hard of hearing community and is a leader on the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council as well as its women’s network, RISE (Retaining, Investing in, Supporting, and Empowering the Women of Kreischer Miller).

Mary Ellen has served as a member of the Board of Directors and is an active member of the Deaf Hearing Communication Center in Swarthmore, PA. She is also an adjunct professor for Eastern University teaching courses in the MBA and Leadership Degree programs.

Bert Bruce is the US President, Rare Disease at Pfizer, Inc. where he is responsible for commercialization of a portfolio of medicines for Rare Cardiology, Hemophilia, Sickle Cell, Endocrine and Metabolic diseases.

Mr. Bruce actively serves as chair of the Pfizer Global Black Community, where he has played a leading role in helping Pfizer respond to issues of racial inequities and health care disparities; contributing to a culture where every person is seen, heard and cared for.

Bert also serves on the boards of Life Sciences PA, and Bold Hope, Inc., on the Medical Advisory Board of 3D Systems, the Dean’s Advisory Council of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College, and the Business Advisory Board of Eastern University.

Mr. Bruce received his Bachelor of Science from Eastern University and his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Doylestown, PA with his wife, Kathleen, and has three children.
